The patented Zackcup® (Zcup) urinal is a technologically innovative product designed to promote better hygiene and provide optimum comfort for non-ambulatory users, or those with limited mobility. With an adjustable, cloth-like waterproof upper portion that can be easily applied by patients or caregivers, the Zackcup® does not restrict or compress the penile shaft when compared to other products such as condom catheters. The Zcup will help manage the stress of urinary incontinence without pull-ups or diapers.
The Zackcup® additionally eliminates injuries often associated with the use of plastic urinals, like cutting or scraping. Due to its unique patented design, the lower portion of the urinal acts as a reservoir while the waterproof upper portion keeps the penile shaft dry and protected from moisture. In the upper portion of the device, the penis is enclosed in the stretchable, breathable, waterproof tunnel which applies no pressure to the penile shaft and contributes to its custom fit. The urinal is suitable for high urine output and eliminates moisture from the skin. The Zackcup® urinal prevents irritation that can lead to incontinence-associated dermatitis, commonly known as diaper rash (IAD). Zackcup® contains urine in one place, in its absorbent core chamber, stopping the urine from running between the patient’s thigh down to the buttocks. This chamber prevents any contact between expressed urine and the user’s skin, keeping areas dry whilst promoting sanitation. Zackcup® is thus a comfortable, sterile, disposable urinal cup that’s easy to put on by either patient or caregiver.
